A Multiomics Approach to Defining the Nature of Early Malignant Transformations of the Immune System
Webinar by Dr. Wendy Beguelin, Weil Cornell Medical College
March 18, 2022
During humoral immune response or infections, subsets of B-cells migrate to germinalcentres in lymphoid follicles located in the lymph nodes and the spleen. Some of these germinal centre B-cells (GC B-cells) differentiate into memory B-cells and plasma cells. Understanding the biology of GC B-cells is crucial as they are not only important for the immune response but have also been implicated in many B-cell lymphomas. Given the complex mixture of GC B-cells undergoing several different transitional states, single cell transcriptomics is an effective way to study them. Check out this webinar to learn about how the BD Rhapsody™ system was used to study the transcriptome of normal and lymphoma-associated GC B-cells at the single cell level.
