Overview
The dried multicolor panels reduce inter-experiment variability and come with long shelf lives making them ideal choices for multisite and longitudinal studies. A wide variety of reagents and dyes are available for cocktailing, including BD Horizon Brilliant™ Dye Reagents. With the introduction of BD Horizon™ Chroma Technology, dried panels can have up to five* BD Horizon Brilliant™ Dyes in a single tube. Dried multicolor cocktails also have an extended shelf life compared to liquid reagents with stability of ≥1 year when stored at room temperature (20–25 °C). In addition, you can easily incorporate these dried down reagents into your assay workflows, which can help with standardization and efficiency.
*For panels containing more than five BD Horizon Brilliant™ Dyes, contact your sales representative to look at options for your panels.
PERFORMANCE
BD Horizon™ Chroma Multicolor Panels show comparable performance to liquid reagents. The results are taken from a multicolor panel containing five BD Horizon Brilliant™ Dyes used for the identification and characterization of regulatory T cells (Tregs) in human PBMCs. The staining observed with the dried reagents (blue data points) is comparable to the staining observed with liquid reagents (red data points), which is summarized in the overlay plots (right plots).
Lymphocytes (CD3 versus CD4): BD Horizon™ Chroma versus liquid reagents.
CD4+ subset (CD127 versus CD25): BD Horizon™ Chroma versus liquid reagents.
