BD Rhapsody™ Scanner

A visual workflow QC system that can be combined with a microwell-based single-cell partitioning system.

Overview

The BD Rhapsody™ Scanner is designed to visualize all steps in the single-cell capture workflow and provide detailed analysis metrics at every step, enabling the user to make key decisions throughout the workflow. The scanner has been redesigned to be compatible for use with the BD Rhapsody™ HT Xpress System and BD Rhapsody™ 8-Lane Cartridge for higher-throughput applications, enabling a multisample workflow. It can also be used in combination with the BD Rhapsody™ Express System and BD Rhapsody™ Single-Lane Cartridge for lower-throughput needs.

FEATURES

Multiomic Analysis of Treg heterogeneity for optimization of Treg-based cell therapies

BD Biosciences has launched this webinar, presenting BD Rhapsody single cell isolation and preparation technology for proteomic and transcriptomic study of immune cells.

CD4+ regulatory T cells expressing FOXP3 (Tregs) play an essential role in maintaining self-tolerance. Treg cells play a key role in preventing autoimmune diseases and stimulating tolerance to allogeneic transplants. The use of Treg cells represents a promising innovative autoimmune disease and transplantation therapeutic strategy.

Treg cells are functionally and phenotypically heterogeneous when isolated from peripheral blood or after expansion for therapeutic purposes. The use of single-cell RNA sequencing allows us to analyze their transcriptome in detail. This allows us to identify different subgroups of Treg cells in their natural state and after expansion.

Prof. Makoto Miyara, MD, PhD is a Full Professor in Immunology. He is the coordinator of the reference laboratory for LED and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome at the APHP, Sorbonne-Université, Pitié-Salpêtrière. His specialty as a professional is to develop innovative diagnostic techniques, including AI use for pattern recognition and gene editing to detect autoantibodies. He completed his clinical training at Paris' Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital as an Internist. He leads a research group that focuses on manipulating tolerance mechanisms, primarily regulatory T cells, to offer innovative therapeutic strategies to promote allograft tolerance in transplants, restore immune homeostasis in autoimmune diseases, promote tissue regeneration or enhance antitumor immune responses. His main articles have been quoted more than 1500 times. He is the Lead Investigator of three ongoing Phase I clinical trials evaluating Treg cell therapy in liver, kidney and lung transplants.
