The BD® Flex Single-Cell Multiplexing Kits (BD® Flex SMK) utilize a two-step labeling approach to enable multiplexing for various types of single-cell samples. Every antibody-oligo in the BD® Flex SMK has a unique sample oligo barcode conjugated to an anti-R-phycoerythrin (PE), clone E31-1459, antibody. This approach allows you to select any PE-conjugated primary antibody with which to tag your samples of interest, regardless of species or cell type.
Features
Support higher sample throughput for larger cohort studies | Multiplex up to 24 samples per lane to minimize batch effect, while maintaining high sample tagging sensitivity and specificity |
Empower single-cell sample multiplexing for various species and cell types | BD® Flex SMK enables flexibility in choosing primary antibodies with which to tag your samples |
Reduce experimental cost with lower reagent cost per sample | Four separately sold kits each providing six samples tags take care of your small-scale study and help you save on the total BD Rhapsody™ System experiment when you multiplex more samples |
One format fits all BD Rhapsody™ Assays | BD® Flex SMK works seamlessly with BD Rhapsody™ Assays (transcriptome, cell surface protein, and immune repertoire profiling) on the BD Rhapsody™ Single-Cell Analysis System |
Increase cell number analyzed with improved data quality | Load up to 40K pooled cells per lane and remove erroneous data from cell multiplets originating from multiple samples for cleaner single-cell multiomics data analysis |
Multiplexing 24 single-cell samples in one BD Rhapsody™ System run
t-SNE analysis of single-cell gene expression profile with 24 Sample Tags in the BD® Flex Single-Cell Multiplexing Kits and BD Rhapsody™ Human Immune Response Panel. Cells are clustered based on 399 genes in the BD Rhapsody™ Human Immune Response Panel. The three expected, phenotypically distinct population clusters corresponding to human B cell (Ramos, blue cells), T cell (Jurkat, yellow and green cells), and monocytes (THP1, red and brown cells) are obtained. High sample multiplexing sensitivity (>99%) and specificity (>95%) are achieved with 24 Sample Tags. Putative multiplet clusters are identified and removed by the BD® Flex SMK.
