Expand your T cell research with confidence
The BD Horizon™ Human T Cell Backbone Panel consists of an optimized configuration of core markers specifically designed to expand your research with recommended fluorochrome drop-ins and enable flexibility in panel design without compromising resolution.
Fluorochromes were strategically selected so that up to five recommended drop-ins can be added with minimal impact to the backbone resolution and minimal panel design effort, allowing you to focus on marker selection.
Learn more from the BD Horizon™ Human T cell backbone panel brochure.
The BD Horizon™ Human T Cell Backbone Panel contains a set of markers that can be combined with up to five additional fluorochromes without impacting resolution
| Marker | Clone | Fluorochrome |
|---|---|---|
| CD3 | UCHT1 | BV510 |
| CD4 | SK3 | BV786 |
| CD8 | RPA-T8 | R718 |
| CD45RA | HI100 | PE-Cy7 |
| CD197 (CCR7) | 2-L1-A | BV711 |
BD Horizon™ Brilliant Stain Buffer is included to provide optimal reagent performance.
Examples of recommended drop-in fluorochromes
| Laser | Drop-in |
|---|---|
| Violet 405 nm | BV421/V450/Pacific Blue™ |
| Blue 488 nm | FITC/BB515/Alexa Fluor™ 488/PE |
| Yellow-Green 561 nm | PE/RY586 |
| Red 640 nm | APC/Alexa Fluor™ 647 |
| UV 355 nm | BUV395 |
Drop-in reagents not included in backbone kit.
AF: Alexa Fluor™ Reagent
BB: BD Horizon Brilliant™ Blue Reagent, BUV: BD Horizon Brilliant™ Ultraviolet Reagent
BV: BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet Reagent, R: BD Horizon™ Red Reagent
RY: BD Horizon RealYellow™ Reagent
The BD Horizon RealYellow™ (RY) 586 Fluorochrome can be used as an alternative to PE when excited off the yellow-green laser. Simultaneous use of PE off the blue laser and RY586 off the yellow-green laser is not recommended.
The BD Horizon™ Human T Cell Backbone Panel offers increased flexibility and fewer design challenges
High Performance
- Strategically designed to be complemented with up to five drop-in markers with no resolution impact to the backbone or the selected drop-ins
- Verified protocols to ensure optimal performance
- Consistent performance across instruments with different optical configurations

Applications
Identification of FoxP3+ Treg subsets
B) Clear resolution of all the subsets of interest was observed on fixed and permeabilized PMBCs from N = 3 healthy donors. Samples were acquired on a 4-laser BD FACSymphony™ A1 Cell Analyzer and analyzed with FlowJo™ Software v10.8.1.
