This course provides a general overview of BD CellView Image Technology within the BD FACSDiscover S8 Cell Sorter, including using different imaging features and views of the image wall in BD FACSChorusSoftware.

Our operator training courses are designed to quickly get you up and running on your instrument. Our courses are delivered in small class sizes with a 2-to-1 ratio of learners-to-instrument to provide plenty of hands-on time and opportunity to get comfortable with the day-to-day operation of the software and cytometer. 

BD FACSDiscover S8 Cell Sorter operator training courses

 

This course provides the practical knowledge and skills to acquire and analyze data, sort multicolor samples, sort based on imaging features and perform maintenance tasks.

 

In this class, you will learn:

  • General principles of flow cytometry, sorting, spectral and imaging concepts
  • Basics of spectral unmixing, data acquisition and analysis, and data management using BD FACSChorus Software
  • Principles of BD CellViewImage Technology, including using different imaging features and views of the image wall
  • Maintenance, quality control and troubleshooting common hardware and software issues
  • Instrument setup and sorting in standard conditions

 

Target Audience: New operators or operators who have not had formal training on this cytometer.
